Super Apexi Induction - Clean?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Sorry for daft question - however, what's the best way to clean an Apexi Super Induction cone filter??? Had it on my Turbo for a while now - real dirty.

When I used to have K+N filters, you would wash them under tap and re-oil etc.

This the same with the Apexi??

Cheers

I'd suggest a hoover .. don't think they are supposed to be cleaned.

Apexi do cleaning kits. Not sure how much tho. The kit for my Blitz was just under £40.

After doing a bodykit conversion thing, water has been draining onto the filter for past few weeks, looks terrible :-(

Bought a new foam type filter as a quick replacement...

Think washing it under the tab will do?? Worked for my K+N but then I would have to re-oil it etc...

Remember reading that this Super Apexi does not need re-oil etc...

Cheers

I've read somewhere that you can simply wash it under the tap.

I've got the Apexi too. Washed mine the other day in warm water and a bit of fairy. Let it dry out over night near the boiler, then treated it with some K&N dirt retention oil. Didn't realise it was red sponge until I washed it!!
