I like it muchos muchos! :D

In fact - I think I love it!

Where can I put my name down for one?:drool::drool::drool:

I really want to see the specs for each model first before I commit to a particular one, but I feel like it may be time for a 1.5..... I'm guessing it will still be badged as a T-Sport?

Whatever its badged - I'll be having one!:thumbsup:

I like it but want to see some non-retouched ordinary photos of it. Annoys me that car websites, etc, do that. Need to see it in the metal.

That write up seems a little odd. Don't all Yarii already come with ABS and EBD? And what about the fold down rear seats? Sounds to me like it was written comparing it to some present foreign versions of the Yaris. Canadian Echo hatchbacks don't have the fold down rear seats for safety reasons if I remember.

Killer luggage!

Remember that on Fifth Gear? I always have my rear seat belts done up in the event of any bump, stops anything in the boot taking your head off in any sudden deceleration.

Used to have neighbours (nice couple and good mates of mine) who drove an old escort with a heavy glass pub ashtray on the parcel shelf!

Needless to say I protested.

Scroll down only as far as the front - nice

Scroll down further to show the rear - what a shame! :(

Personal view, the rear lets it down... :crybaby:

Glad I bought mine when I did ;)

I read that all new cars now have to have ABS fitted as standard.

The Yaris had ABS with EBD as standard on the phase 2.

But some versions of the phase 1 did have ABS & EBD, right? Mine certainly has as I found out when some pheasants went for a walk in front of my car.

Yeah Al some did some didn't, dunno bout EBD though! The T-Sport defo did and so to did the CDX I think, the newer 1's like your's may also have had it standard but mine's is a 2000 model hence it not having it!

I'm still a fan of the Phase 2 over the new Yaris..

Give me a phase 2 anyday!!

Pah! Phase one rules all!

You are right Al, there are some phase 1’s with ABS, not sure which spec though.

SR has ABS & EBD! Fully tricked out this machine i tell ya!

There are a couple of things I really want the new one to have though....

Climate Control

Windscreen Wipers that know when its raining

Electric Sunroof

6 disc CD player as standard

Leather Upholstery

The only reason I say is because Richs 206 has all of the above and I want my car to beat his (he's forever trying to persuade me that Peugeot are better than Toyota!)

They need to bring out a Luxury Yaris, sort of like the Luxury Ka, but actually with some Luxury! :P

I dont like the auto windscreen wipers. I had them on the Clio and they useless. They didnt detect light rain. I much rather prefer manual wipers with one sweep like the Yaris.

On one of the other posts it looks like it might have proper climate control.

A rear windscreen wiper with intermittent wipe would be nice

As I've had both - tell him Toyota are far better :D

I think its all but the earliest S (and possibly GS) models have ABS. I know that my April 2001 S had it - saved my bacon a couple of times :phew:

According to Mr T, all Phase 2s have EBD

I'd have to second that! Also a rear end that doesn't get so dirty would be a bonus - the mudguards make minimal difference - hence i'm not going to tarnish my car with them!!!!

Bout time an electric sunroof was introduced though DA, i could never understand why such highly spec'd cars which had electric-everything-else had a manual sunroof!

Canadian Echo hatchbacks don't have the fold down rear seats for safety reasons if I remember.

Nor do they have power windows on ANY model! (Apparently)
