Does the Jap gearbox fit the UK model. Are they exactly the same? N/A model.

Ooo and is there any difference between the 158 and 172 bhp versions?

Might be getting one soon but all depends on this question being answered!

AFAIA the actual casings are identical, just the ratio's changed.

Check with someone like Matt from Rogue Systems to be sure.
