1st Service Next Month

Hello Guys,

First of all I have done a search for previous threads about this but couldnt find any so apologies!!

Got a letter from Toyota on Friday about the T3 being due for first service next month, they don't give any idea of the prices though :ffs:. Does anyone know how much they are? It's gonna be right in the middle of the month too!!

How long do they take, on average? Also gotta renew the tax this month..ah the joy of motoring!! lol

well i hope it isnt as much as i got quoted yesterday. £172 for the service then another £41.10 for the MOT.

so im gonna take it to Rapid Fit where they will do a service and MOT fro £102 and they stamp ur service history as well

It should be 80-90 quid for the first service. They should be able to tell you the price over the phone, with all of the "extras" included.

Remember to shop around if it seems excessive!

I was told About £110-£120 for the first service from mr-t when i brought the car

I heard the first years service is cheaper than a normal service as its only an intermittent service - the full service is after 2 years/20k miles.

Car buying is all well and good, but when the year comes round - it sure stings you cash wise - what with servicing and tax..... thank god we dont have to MOT them too!

Just be greatful your car isn't a Mitsubihi Evo.... £300 every 4500 miles! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

Does anyone know how long it'll take, on average? I'm gonna call Toyota this week and get definate idea of prices and book her in too..I think a days holiday from work might be in order - any excuse for a day off lol

1st service will be about an hour,

i waited for mine and yeah good excuse for a day off work!

I try to watch what they do to my car through the window at the waiting bit and see if they do a thorough job! :D

mine's coming up soon, following things i need done..

1) my front passenger side wiper is not making contact with the windscreen properly leaving marks.

2) The rear wiper is making screeching sounds on contact with rear screen

3) Handbrake only bites when pulled very high

Are wipers and handbrake covered under the 3yr warranty ?

Yeah should only take an hour!

I know the handbrake is - mine wasnt biting until very high recently, I booked her in and they adjusted it for me. Also had a long squeak coming from the front driverside wheel and they adjusted it and cleaned the brake for me as it was binding slightly. It was covered under the warranty.

And thats good that it should take about an hour - I'll hopefully be able to tie it in with the new 4 day week rota we're getting at work soon too :D
