Pcv - Any Problems Removing It?

I was wondering if there are any negative effects to removing the line from the Rev 3 catch tank to the air box (obviously plugging the hole left on the air box and adding a filter to the other open end). From previous knowledge having the oil vapours and possibly droplets enterying the inlet isnt good for a clean burn so just wanted to ask if its advisable to do this.
