aitey, just wanted to ask a few question bout the 'seo Speakers. from what i know the front door components are 4.5 inchers and the rears are 5.25 inchers (i checked em myself so thats what they are on my car, and whats stated in the manual) and firstly i wanted to know how hard it is to put 6.5 inchers in the back? i mean ive heard on toc that it can either be easy as hell, or hard as ****, and i know some ppl that have it as standard, so yeah, how hard would it be?

in the front im probably just gonna replace the components with same size better Speakers, considering i dont want a " system " as such, just better Speakers and a hard drive head unit. also, is it adviseable to upgrade the wiring?

Hi 6.5 fit in the back dead easy, just give it a go with your tool box for tweaking and they will be in after 20 mins of messin around . be prepared to squash you face into the rear window :D .

5.25 go pretty much straight in at the front (with alittle bit of tweaking in),

if you want 6.5 inthe front I have heard on here you really need a little surround / mount for them to fit properly. I have also heard a few have 6X9's in the back but that required a bit of time and a some surgery to the existing holes / rear shelf

wiring - standard toyota wire (mine anyway) is very fat decent cable for speaker wires better than the pathetic oxoygenfree wire (about 2 microns thick) that come with my Speakers,

i recommend getting a sub if your upgrading your ice, it will mean you can run the in car Speakers with no bass and then provide the bass from the sub - I find no matter how expensive the speaker it always sounds better and clearer when its not under heavy load from bass - lett the sub take care of that

thats my 2pence worth anyway

well by " tweaking " what do you mean exactly? i mean it would be awesome to mess around, im a really handson person, but i dont wannabe **** up the car just yet! plus i want to save money on sending it to get done :unsure:

would i need to crimp any wires etc ?

im unsure bout the sub cause i hate massive systems, if there's a small sub that i perhaps could mount in the parcel shelf, maybe, any ideas of a decent small one?

if your handy i dont see why youre asking this question, there is no need to **** your car up, if someone gave you advice and told you to smash the back window to get Speakers in, I doubt you would follow thier advice

6.5 fits straight in and (by tweaking) I mean the obvious a 6.5 speaker will not have same holes as a 5.25 Speakers - so;

5.25 speaker out

6.5 speaker in

then drill holes in line with holes on new speaker

wiring;

use the connecters or crimp spade connecters and connect two Speakers, if you dont want to crimp cut the wires and blue tak them together and listen to your speakers crackle,

done speakers in boom, boom, boom, crackle....lol

oh right, thanks though ill probably end up asking again when i get round to getting the speaker!

oh and one more thing, a cocky ********** i know is saying that he know's everything about i.c.e after talking to a dude for a few minutes (he really pisses the **** outta me) and i just wanted to ask if its REALLY necessary to have an amp when you get a separate sub for the car? i really wanna stick it to him :boxing:
