Rebuilt Suspension

For the last couple of weeks I've had a clunk coming from the passenger side rear when I hit a bump. Well today I found out what it was...

I pulled all the suspension off the car yesterday to renew all the bushes with Powerflex units, and generally give everthing a good tidy up ready for the summer. I recieved my newly refurbished Koni's back from the factory to fit, so I started stripping the rear units ready to fit the new inserts. When I unscrewed the passenger side unit, it literally fell to bits! So that explains the clunk!

The handling of the car is now totaly transformed. I took it for a spin along the bypass near me and headed for a couple of roundabouts. Where I would normally take them and hope for the best, the car now tracks true and straight, and feels soooooo planted, even when I gave it a serious seeing to.

Well the full kit was kinda hard to get hold of. I had to source the parts from three different manufacturers. Thier prices were all different. but not by much. They varied from £35 to £45 for ther various different pairs of bushes, but I can tell you, it makes such a difference.

Well worth the hassle and expense.
