Toad Ai606

Hi guys,

i am seriously thinking of getting a toad Ai606 alarm/imobilser, as i wanted a good cat 1 alarm... any thoughts on this model or any other cat 1 alarm/imobilisers?

and has anybody any idea were on the 1994 celica gt4 st205 the factory fitted imobilser is?

Hi Mate,

As you can see from my sig I have a MR2, I have had a AI606 fitted to mine and I am well impressed with the unit.

I find it an easy to use but very effective system which you can buy add on form, I bought the unit of eBay for £120 and had it fitted by a mate.

thats what i needed, just a bit of positive feedback from someone who has one, so if they are as good and problem free as you say then i think it will be the way to go for me, now all i need to know if anybody has any idea were the factory fitted imobiliser is situated so i can replace it with the Toad unit?.

ai606 requires a 2 stage shock sensor unit ( sold separate at around £35 ), i have 1 fitted to my gt4 , alarm and immobilser arms after 20 seconds of switching the engine off .very good system.

Would this be affected by a turbo timer?. My car uses a toad A50 system in conjunction with a meta immobiliser but it`s an old system and could do with upgrading. The 606 is in the frame as it uses some of the same components as the A50 and will be easier to install.

it does dak as the ai606 has anti hijack also.and when the engine switches off it will open the doors.So its something that needs to be looked into.

The stock alarm is behined the glove compartment on the 1995 gt. I got the toad, its ace, also alot of the features such as anti hijak etc can be switched off.
