You're all making me feel that my £340 is a bargain... T3 1.4 diesel with alloys parked in the road and 18,000 miles a year estimated mileage. Not to mention 2 no-fault accidents in a smidgin over a year.

:thumbsup;

well cfc1 unfortunatly these days if you were under 21 and wanted to drive with you own policy you would have to pay 1k or more whatever you drive!! bulk like you said you would walk so not a issue  :P

Im hearing of 17 year olds being charged 2.5k on 1.2's and such  :ffs:

:blink: I got my 1st policy when I was 18 on a 1.1 Fiesta, and it was £735 on TPFT..I've got 1 years NCB now and am only paying £706 on my 1.0L T3! Fully Comprehensive! It's just me on the policy aswell..no-one else and I was 19 when I got the policy..so definately under 1k for me!

Im gathering your Female? I ment to say male and under 21, its a totaly different ball game, however i was insured at 19 on a 1.1 mk1 golf third party only for 990 so that just under a grand lol

For all the ppl who wanna know how 17 yr old drivers r ripped off, ill tell u my story... 17 with pass plus, EGG gav me £1600 fully comp. They wanted £1300 if i wasnt the 1st driver so my dad just said u might as well get yr ncd going. Coming up 2 renewal time and its looking like the cheapest ill get is £700. Insurance is joke nowadays :ffs:

21, 1 years no claims (protected with Norwich Union), and it's about £750 fully comp on the Yaris.

Hoping it comes down a bit this August!

Well I've been picked on nicely by my insurance company because some people seem to want to get me off the road!

Thanks to my 2 non-fault claims in 2004, Tesco've hiked my insurance up to over £800 (23, f, 1.3 Yaris) - I was coming up to 2 years no claims aswell (since after my last accident, my no claims was given back to me, then less than 6 months later, some eejit in a stolen car takes it all away from me again!)

The insurance company is starting the process of recovering their costs, which means my excess and no claims aswell, but I know how lengthy a process it can be.....

Still, Diamond have quoted me £680 so if Tesco won't match it, I'll just go with them when my policy expires with Tesco in March.

It just annoys me that claim=fault and now I'm classed as a risky driver - and its not even me who causes the accidents in the first place! :ffs:
