Supercharged Celica

Right, I currently have a Mitsubishi FTO GPX MIVEC and although it is fantastic I am looking for a change toward the end of the year.

After seeing a kitted out 04 celica yesterday am I convinced it is going to be my next car, however I need some advice on the different models and which model is the most tuneable in particular the "easiest" model to supercharge.

Are there many supercharged Celica's in the UK? Are there any kits readily available?

On a seperate note, the celica I saw had an enlarged scoop on the front anyone else seen that before? (Look awesome!)

TIA

Hi, I know of 3 supercharged Gen 7's in the Uk. Sadly one no longer exists.

1st one was CelicaUK's car from www.celica-club.co.uk. This was a UK 140 which was supercharged. This made it up to approx 280bhp. 2nd was Amarjits 190 - supercharged by CelicaUK's company.

3rd one was Bimbleuk's JDM190 which had the Blitz supercharger fitted.

At present there is no 'off the shelf' setup for the UK/Euro Gen7. The JDM ones can have the Blitz kit fitted shich require the bonnet bulge fitting - but these ojnly raise the 190 to approx 230bhp.. ie no much bang for your buck.

CelicaUK is looking at helping people get the information and parts to supercharge the Gen7 at the moment on our forum.

If you facy going turbo instead - there are 2 members who have had turbo conversions done by C2Power. (Bubba being one of the admin)

Thanks for the reply.

I would consider Turbo charging also so long as the expense isn't over the top. I have always wanted a supercharger but I will be happy with any forced induction.

Just found out the guy's celica I saw lives around the corner from me so I may well be knocking on your door :D

Have you got a link for C2POWER? Any pics/specs of the 2 turbo'd Gen7's??
