Tubular Manifold

Hello - can anyone help...

A friend of mine has a 4e-fe in his corolla and is very keen on tuning it for some more power.

I have suggested that he gets a tubular manifold and the rest of the exhaust system done.

I cannot seem to find a manifold for this engine. Does anyone know of a company that makes one? Or will it need to be custom built?

Also are there any other modifications that can be bought for this engine. I think he has found some cams which would make an interesting difference to the engine.

Anything that will bolt on from the 1.6 engine? Such as cams, inlets etc?

I'm not really up on the mechanics of sporting up cars, but i have some limited experince with the 4e-fe.

I know that of the corolla's which the 4efe came, there were also corollas with 4a-fe's and 7a-fes, also the corolla fx with 4a-ge. Of all these engines the 4e-fe is the outsider, as its differes from the rest the most widely. The 4a-fe and 7a-fe are very similar to look at. There is also a 5e-fe and a 5e-fhe, these might have bolt on parts that can be exchanged. I doubt it will bring extra power tho. Becuase the 4e-fe is a relatively low-end engine there is very little mods available for it.

I's guess that the manifolds are different from the 1300 to the 1600, But dont hold me to it. The 4a-ge has a different manifold.

Of course there is the 4e-fte starlet turbo engine, which is similar to the 4e-fe with the turbo, 2 stage...
