I'm going all bomex with mine (apart fron the rear p/power splitters)

purely because the toms/border look is getting too popular now...

Posted

agree that the toms border look is popular, but i aint seen one 2 where i live thats got any kit on !! except 3 with veilside. so anything will look good round ere !

But at the end of the day, you gotta go for what YOU like, not what the crowd does, and even if the crowd does !

Hit the nail on the head there mate!!

My car gets just as many heads turning as Jims nowadays when we drive around town,

but my car has much more discreet styling than his and thats the way i like it. ;)

discreet ??? ... bah !!

"Look at me!!! ... look at me!!!"... can't beat it... lol.

Posted

I would go Bomex aswell mate. Not that i have it fitted to my car  ;)

Posted

any, just get it blended and smoothed to the body.

will look totally differant!

Posted

Blending to your bodywork is well risky IMO, seen so many MR2's with cracks where the nose meets the wing coz they hit a speed bump... the front needs to flex!

Jim, think the 'look at me' thing goes to all MR2's.

Posted

Oh, forgot why I posted here for a second.

You cant beat the Border nose!

Next question.....where to buy...looking to buy soon, as i want me car all kitted and ready for the summer sun !!.

Bumpers / sides / full kits on eBay.... samari performance ...ever been used...any good ?

Where did you lot get your bumpers etc...how much ?

I got my Bomex skirts from a guy on eBay for a bargain £100!!

They arrived today and look really good quality

Pics tomorrow when fitted

Posted

Attempted to fit my skirts today and gave up after about an hour, They need a little bodyshop work to get them fitting as i'd like them to and i cant really afford this at the mo....

I'll probably put them back on eBay cos i've got more important things to spend my hard earned cash on... (baby coming!!)

Posted

oh, so they sound like a really good fit then !

Just like the problems i am having with my Scoop - Rubbish Fittment !

Posted

Yeah, just need some work done near the bottom of them at the back

and they catch the bottom of the door a little,

When i get to kit time.... *cough in a year or so lol* :P

im probs going for Border or Bomex, purley because i personaly think, although its a nice kit, and looks ace, that theres too many Veilside kits out there.

Posted

Yeah i agree, Veilside is well over done now. (4 where i live) thats why i dont wanna do Veilside.

Jim, Jappy Beast etc...where did you get your kits from ?

i think border front, toms sides and rear is the best combination thats y i got it.

Posted

How much is the TOM's rear?

My new Zorst looks too big for the stock rear.

Posted

Why not save save save and save some more and buy the daddy - TRD wide body kit!

Posted

What is the attraction with the TRD kit?
