Searching for an MP3 changer for the Avensis, I've found this from Sony .. does anybody know if the T3-X is fitted with a Fujitsu Ten or Matsu*****a unit? (LOL! .. I've written Matsu S_H_I_T a)

if you confirm .. could there be a difference in the fitted unit whether it is sold in England or Denmark

I have exactly this unit installed in my Avensis (2002 model) with the connect2 Interface. Works fine: all tracks on the MP3 CD (can be in subdirectories) are numbered 1-99 on your display (numbers 100+ are again displayed as 01-99) and you can change CD's, all from your normal CD controls. Sadly no text information is displayed although the sony is capable to do so: blame connect2.

The unit fits easily under a front seat, so it will not take any valuable space.

I can not think of any differences in the unit relating to its original country, I think you should be safe there.

The Avensis Audio System is developed by Panasonic's home hi-fi team, so it's a Panasonic.

Remery .. except the 2002 and 2005 units aren't alike ;)

Prince, ok .. thanks for the info, so it won't fit :(

The dealer expects to have an answer for me monday - she told me that they are working hard on finding a solution for MP3. Its probably out there somewhere, they just dont know about it :!Removed!:

Just get a Sony, Alpine or Kenwood changer and then buy the interface for them. Unfortunately the interfaces arent aren't cheap (£60).

ok, thanks :)

I'll notify the dealer .. will let them fit it before delivery of the car. This being my first brand new car, I won't start by taking the dash apart and fiddle with the electronics and such ;)
