Bogging between shifts

Hello, I own a 1988 Camry DLX wagon, I am having an interesting issue w/ bogging between shifts, if you bring it to max power in 1st gear (around 5000rpm), engage 2nd, the engine bogs and lags for a couple 1000 rpm and then pick up returns again,

does anybody have a clue what is going on?

Could it be...

Ignition

Spark plug wire

fuel delivery

throttle cable

here are my mods...

Weapon R Ram Air intake w/ heatshield

Full custom 2.25" exhaust piping w/ straight through muffler

Bosch 4+ pre-gapped spark plugs

hey i have a 91 camry le and I was just looking at weapon r's site. I've had trouble installing an intake. the one i got first had nothing to attach the air-flow sensor to, which caused the engine to shut itself off. It sounded great for the two seconds it actually ran. I also recently came across a air flow sensor adapter on another site. don't know what to do next.
