You lucky person you. When I asked about tracking for my Corolla they sad "Sorry can't do it - it's been lowered" Apparently they have a super duper machine that they punch your chassis number into and that tells them what the alignment should be. :shutit:

funny you should say that

as the place had mine done the bloke had a personal organiser thing/PDA that told him the tolerances etc...

and hes said has the car been lowered? i said yes about an inch and he said it may not fit

this is on a std body car! mind you he checked and the lasers JUST worked under the sills of the car!

if id have had skirts they would need removing!

i had a quality quote from a muppet in the parts dept. the other week.

i went in and asked for new Wiper Blades (i was given just the rubber not the whole unit - which to be fair is ok and they work a treat,... anyway), and he asked is it for the front or rear wipers! i didnt bother reminding him that i had just asked for them for an mr2 and instead just calmly said "the fronts"!

how do these people get their jobs?

My service quote was £360 from Toyota

My local "unipart" car care center will do exactly the same but will do a free full valet and change my gearbox oil for £155

I wonder where i'll be taking it! :D

.. and because it's lowered it doesn't have the standard suspension set up.. so in turn , doesn't have the standard tracking (toe) settings. You need to get a geometry check done to set it all up properly.

and yet people always post about toyota ripping them off..... duh!

of couse they do. who in their right minds uses a dealers for anything apart oem parts that cannot be sourced from anywhere else.

toyota is always the last place i go whenever i need anything.

tracking on my mr2 cost me £20 at a local alloy wheel specialist and took all of 20 minutes with 4 people working on it at once :)

My local toyota dealer wanted £87 for a aligment and adjusting.... I said thats funny it used to be £50 here...

"no its bever been that price, ever"

I went home and dug up the old receipt.... £50....

:censor: tards. Then then went on to say a jap import Mr2 rev 2 is a totally different car toa uk spec and they could not do the tracking on it.... (lies)

They don't even give me a gold discount!
