Sat Nav On Your Mobile Phone

just purchased tomtom mobile, with a bluetooth GPS unit. It turns your phone into a full sat nav system whilst you are in the car.

I've got to say it was even better than I expected. After downloading a few add-ons it now alerts me to all fixed gatsos, red light cameras, truvelos and points where there are regular laser traps. It also shows me where the closest McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Huts are! :D

So thumbs up to TomTom and I would highly recommend it to anyone

Officialy it wasn't supported on the c500, but they released a traffic patch on the web to fix something else and it fixed it for the c500.

They have also just announced tomtom mobile 5 which supports the c500 straight away.

Check the TomTom website out for more info

The fix for tomtom to work on the c500 and loads of info can be found on www.modaco.com

the speed camera database can be found at pocketgps.co.uk

The patch which makes it work on the c500 also lets you use any bluetooth gps unit, so technically you could buy one from eBay cheap, then download tomtom from edonkey - but I wouldn't do that :arrgg-matey:
