Welcome to the club :D

I had the same problem with my alarm and I know that this is shot in the dark BUT I hit the starter moter with a hammer and she was ok after that.

Also have you tried to key in the valet code that you have for the alarm?????? that also might fix the problem.

Might help but it might not.

Anyway good luck and please keep us posted.

She`ll be a gen 6. Dunno too much about them. Maleborn or Sotal might be floating around sometime soon. Perhaps they will be able to throw some light on it for you

.

On mine if you disconnect the Battery completely and leave it disconnected for a few minutes then reconnect it, this will automatically reset the alarm. My immobiliser operates independently of the alarm and isn`t affected by a discharged Battery. You might give that a try.

Mine's the 96 Gen 6, but my alarm fob is completely different to yours. Mine has a rounded bottom end and two black buttons, the top one has a dimple in the middle.

Does the keyfob have a Toyota symbol on it? If not it probably isn't a genuine Toyota one. If it does have a Toyota symbol on it then all the info you should need should be in your owners handbook.

Long shot but... You may have a keyhole next to your alarm under the bonnet if it's an aftermarket one. Turning that off may help??

Other than that I can't really help - the immobiliser should kick back in - you are using the right key aren't you? Mine has a grey key which can't do certain things. Try disconnecting the Battery again to see if next time the immobiliser starts up correctly.

Failing that you could get an autoelectrician out who will take out the immobiliser for you.
