Nz Spec Camry 3.0

Hi

Im posting for a friend that is lookiing at a Toyota Camry 3.0 V6 GX 1995 but its a NZ spec that got imported 2 yrs ago by someone that moved from New Zealand to UK & bought that car here with them! & now selling it. So question is how would it get insured in UK?Would it cost much more than UK spec Camry? cos the Camry 3.0 V6 GX was officially sold as a UK spec in 1995 too, difference in NZ & UK spec is equipment level being UK one is higer spec with leather seats & electrric sunroof etc...but engine performance is same.

hmmm, not sure on camry insurance but my Cynos is insured with the engine & chassis code under the UK model Paseo....

just give an insurer a call & see what happens

Would assume that most of the Insurers who insure the Japanese imports would insure it, try one of the brokers like Adrian Flux(08700-777888) or Tett Hamilton (01275-792270).

It probably will cost you a little bit more than a UK model to insure and they may require you to fit a thatham approved immobiliser.
