Advice Wanted 1989 Celica 4ws-gt

Hi, I am new to this site and I am hoping that someone out there can help me with some much needed advice. I have become the owner of a beautifull , yet mechanically challenged 1989 Celica 4WS-GT( ST183) Jap Import. I need advice on how difficult it is to change or repair a badly leaking steering pump and, worse case senario, the availabilty and price of a re-con. 3sge engine. I love its looks, but have to decide if repairing it is going to be worthwhile..........HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replacing the PAS pump should be pretty straightforward. Access isn't too bad, but it's located on the back of the engine, so using a 4 post lift would make it easier. Second hand engines aren't too expensive either, but then what's wrong with yours?

I have the same prob with my 4WS ZR (Import) power steering pump and am also having difficulty finding a replacement. If by chance you find 2 on your travels would u please email me the location on the second pump and i will do the same for you.
