just thinking...

is it possible with the crap weather at the min that the headlamps can become frozen and unable to rise with the cold

i have to leave home around 6:30 in the morning when its still dark and god forbid i have to use the mr2 at the min as its my only transport, and with this snow and ice at the min......

should i leave them 'popped up'?

In 3 years we have had our toy, they have always worked in winter

And she is out all night, and sometimes I go to work at about 4.30 am :!Removed!:

only thing to freeze is the sodding doors.. :ffs:

Drove mine home in a blizzard yesterday. Lights worked great, but because the face of them is at 45 degrees to the road (unlike most modern cars whose slope with the front of the car) the snow piled up on them! Eventually there was two snow horns growing from the top of the lights.

Gave other drivers a bit of a giggle!

I been driving toyotas with pop ups now for nearly 7 years.... celicas, mr2s, supras.. never had a problem once!!! The motors are very stong!!!

as in "removing trapped digits" strong!

Also if you actually look at the lights, there are very few friction surfaces, not like a door or a boot where there is a "seal" to freeze up!
