Noisy Downshifting To 4th

Hey guys,

Got my first 2 there on friday. Rev3 T-bar G-LTD, '95 with 45k miles. Looks like it was real well kept, all the bits are still there (t-glass pouches, sunblockers, jap handbook, original jack and spare wheel look like they were never used) :D

Unfortunately when I was trying before buying, it was in city traffic, so never got it over fourth gear. Having had time to play, I've noticed there's a distinct clunk when dropping from 5th to 4th, pretty much every time :( ... It's smooth going 3rd to 4th though, and all the other gears seem fine...

What do you reckon, synchros? Maladjusted linkage?

Take care of your gearbox!!! The gearbox is a fragile piece of equipment.

Just ask myself, Bibbs or veilsidemr2!! We've all killed gearboxes recently.

The syncro thread is now in the "general info" sticky (just having a tidyup)
