Removing The Hand Brake Outer

By "lever rubbery thing" to you mean the bit behind the grip?

On mine (phase 2) it seems very loose - haven't tried to take it off though. Can I ask why you're needing to do this?

Good luck!

Alan

Was about to start this exact thread. My phase one t-sport has the usual drab grey cover and horrible gaitor.

I've exerted quite serious pressure on the grip to no avail and am reluctant to start with a hack saw ...

Nice aftermarker ones are easy to find ... just need to get this ****ing thing off!

Any suggestions ... only thing I could think of at the weekend (after I'd given up again in disgust) was a cloth wrapped round it and mole grips...?

hmm, yea was talkin with clarky and suggested that it may have been glued on, with trying to heat it up with say a hairdryer

effort tho, and always daunting taking a hax saw to the car
