only problem is, its a burgundy colour... i may well keep it but i have the option of keeping it until july and then deciding its Fate

but i have drove it now and again and its a nice drive, just i cant see much out of the back, its hatchback i believe..

after seeing yours id love to mod this a little, but its not gonna help with resale if i decide to sell it he he

This is interesting as there was a report on one of the UK car sites a few months back which claimed the average age of Toyota drivers in the UK was a staggering 65 yerars old. I expect, if true, this figure is for private buyers who buy new in dealerships.

i would presume so

as i have known quiet a few toyota drivers who are around my age,,,, but none have them have bought the car new from a dealership

Well I know loads of toyota drivers that are between 17-23, but none have bought new.

BTW gregg, it wont harm the re-sale value too much as long as it isn't done tacky, if its done right it can look quite classy :D

cool, well i've got a full Koni set inc adjustable shocks and springs, mines been lowered 30mm, the last owner had it lowered more but raised it up again because with the 17's it kept rubbing and after i had it up on a it was clear that the suspension had bottomed out a number of times. At the time he also had 214 45 17 tyres on but had them changed to 205 45 17. With these tyres and the suspension lowered 30mm its the perfect balance really, no rubbing. Expect alot harder ride though! wont be half as soft as before.

with regard to the age thing im only 20 and got a 2000 d4d sr..... get some pure abuse of mates about it but i only bought it coz the diesels a belter.

i lowered it the other day with some TTE springs from the main dealer and its transformed the cars handling, much better. even the ride is still good, only tradeoff is a litlle more bouncy over fast roads. worth it though.

Am undecided about changing the wheels for 17's or leaving the 15's on coz i do high mileage and dont want to make it uncomfortable.........

to be quiet honest i dont mind sacrificing a bit of ride comfort if it handles better and looks lower as at the mo it really is a 4x4

how much are these srings when fitted totalcost etc?? :bookworm:

i think they were about 150 quid from main dealer and i fitted em myself so cost nothing to put on. theyre a bit pricey coz theyre genuine toyota but usually u get what u pay for!!!

even with these springs on it still has better ride than my mums zetec focus.

and i know eactly what u mean about it looking like a 4x4, they are stupidly high and handle like a boat standard. i been trying to get a picture in to the gallery but it wont let me, or else u could see what mine looks like with the springs on (rest of the car is standard SR so would give u a good idea of how low it is).

If that is the case, there must be a lot 70 plus year old Toyota owner drivers around!

I am 65 and I bought my Avensis T-Spirit 2.0L VVT-i model two months ago at Toyota's Dealership in Altrincham in Cheshire.

Interestingly, it was a '53 plate with only 50 miles on the clock, and had been in the Toyota GB network since it was registered in November 2003.

I paid a bargain £13,500. The list price is about £20K, with a street price for the 2005 model between £15.5k and £16.5k.
