when i have 3/4 - full stearing lock on when turning the wheel to the right and drive, ther eis a strange noise....cutting/grinding/rubbing noise.... but i checked the wheels when in ful lock and it aint touching anything.... what would it be?

it dont happen when the car is reversing.... just when moving 4ward

mine makes a sort of grinding noise when on FULL lock!! Can just hear it when windows are open. I did have a LITTLE accident a few months back with the front end, but didnt hit anything to do with wheels.

If you find out lemme know!

First of all get it back and checked under warranty.

I've had cars in the past that do similar things when on full lock - sort of a throbbing/shuddering type thing ...

But - get it back to Mr T!

Mine makes the same sort of noise when of full lock turning to the right, I'll need to get it back to Toyota and get it sorted! :yes:

Extended warranties actually do come in handy! :thumbsup:

this is just the power steering on full lock, the pupms trying to pump but theres nowhere for the fluid to go. (variable pressure relief valve) set to dump fluid back to the resovior.

yeah, thats the same sound mine makes ryan. sounds like metal scraping and every now and then there is a high pitched scrape, it dont do it in reverse, only in forward gear.
