Stereo Echo Hatch (yaris) From Canada

Hello all! I'm set to pickup my Echo Hatch in a couple of weeks and the first thing I am going to do is switch the HU. This model has 4 Speakers (dash and doors) and I was wondering is each is it's own independent "channel" because I read in this forum that the Speakers are connected in series.

If aftermarket stereos have 4-channel amps, does this mean that only 2 channels(1 Left and 1 Right) of my Alpine 9851 that I'm getting are being used?

Hopefully I'm just misunderstood... Thanks for your help!

no the Speakers are all separte u can use all four channels of your amp, its just the fact all the Speakers are at the front,

Mine weren't seperate!! When i unplugged the dash Speakers to change them... the door one's stopped working!

Maybe some are in series, some aren't. If they are, you can always re-wire them up... preferably with better Speakers!

Oh, forgot to mention, i have Toyota rear Speakers fitted too... that's probably why mine are in series.

standard Speakers arnt the best lets face it

i recoment some decent 6x9s, and maybe uprate door and dash aswell, cheaper end of the modding scene but will really improve ur sounds

then sort urself out with a nice sub even if ur not into modding i always recomend that people sort their sound system out, even for that lil bit of extra base, ull love ur car even more if u can ride with quality music
