Outer Window Seals

As well as the Yaris rattly doors and pitting alloys, has anyone had problems with the window seals? Both my front window seals on the TS are coming away..and bubbling( ie expanded and coming away from the doors) My Wifes's 1.0 <yawn> yaris has the same problem. both getting sorted under warranty...just curious if it's another common Yaris fault. (Both under 2 years old)

On my TS I had the drivers side door seal replaced twice in two years. Started coming off in places. Didn't line up right.... Even now on occasion the window doesn't find its correct place (closed position) and rattles until I wind it down a little and then back up again.

Hope that helps.

It appears to be a design problem. Causes a lot of wind noise at motorway speeds.

Occurred on my 1.0 and now on my sportivo. Had it replaced under warranty but its beginning to sag again. Noticed the replacement seal is of a different design but hell its not working... :ffs:

Ah yes, must get my Celica's replaced on drivers side - keeps falling down as I shut the door. Slight draft.

nonsence...it's not trim....it has a function..keeps the water out...keeps the wind noise at bay...trim is for looks only...window seals have a purpose! Winge and they will change em....else the next car is a non-toyota! point out that virtually every other Yaris on the road has the same problem.....ie manufacturing/design flaw.

Someone better kneecap the geezer/geezeress who designed the seals. :help:

Think they could eliminate a small problem such as this seeing as they can build some of the best cars in the world........

I love the mods gordypix! Letting your artisic expresions loose, especially the 10p. Must have cost all of 10p for that one!

I've concluded though on the cd front that you can only fill the under seat tray

2 cd's deep before the inertia over comes the friction when braking resulting in said CD's all over the passenger foot well!

I wonder if they design of the window seals was changed with the "new look" Yaris's...or should that be Yari?
