What About Unichip?

Hi, i've just bought my black, GT T-Bar N/A Mr2, (import) and i was thinking of chipping it.....but as i'm new to this game i was unsure whether there was one chip that seems to work particularly well with the Mr2? I've heard about the Unichip, but none else really. I have another question...where's a good place to get it done, i live in Glasgow and was going to go to CRD near Livingston? Please help, i'm lost here!!!

Thanks,

John

Most of the UK boy's have great success with the Unichip, it's really the only piggyback one I have read about that gives good results & is easy to map (plenty of people that can do it).

Otherwise if money isn't an issue power FC or Motec :)

Cheers

Hey John, whereabouts in Glasgow are you from? I have just put my 2' into Dastek (Fife) to get the Unichip and Downpipr fitted today, picking her up tomorrow, I'll let you know the results when I get back.

The Unichip is the one thing alot of people go for, especially in our area due to Dastek not being far away, the other option is the Greddy E-manage, its another piggyback ECU, don't know anything about it though, sorry.

As far as I Know, CRD are not great at all, but thats just what I've heard, could be wrong, you can't go wrong with "The Garage" in Wishaw, seems to be really good, I know of no good places in Glasgow unfortunately.

hope that helps, if you have more questions, e-mail me or Private Message me, or shove another thread up, loads of helpful people on the site.

Welcome!

Michael.

The unichip is an excellent piece of equipment. I don't know what to expect from a n/a though as best gains are with turbo cars. For yourself I would say goto dastek in fifa.

CRD used to only do superchips. I know they were supposed to be getting a RR. If they have, then they may be able to map a chip now.

Nice one lads, that's great help. I spoke to the guys in fife today, they can expect about an increase of 10bhp with more torque in the mid-range with the Superchip, sounds good to me!

Think i might get it sorted soon, thanks again.

Just one other thing, what about spark plugs? Does changing make much difference? Any recommendations?

Cheers,

John
