Info About Celica Stereo

Hi, I'm new here, I recently purchased a Celica GTS, my first Toyota. Previously I had a Buick Skylark and a Pontiac Grand Am. I had stereo systems in both of those, and they were easy to install, I could just unscrew anythign I wanted to get access. Well in the Celica you obviously can't do that unless I'm missing something, but I have no idea where to begin on this thing.

So first of all i was curious if the JBL headunit in the celica has preamp outputs for an amplifier (I know most stock decks don't have them but I wasn't sure if this one might) Because I don't want to spend the money on a new deck yet. So that would be nice to know if anyone has pulled theirs.

Also, what is the easiest way to gain access to the dash and get the deck out? any info would be helpful, as I don't want to risk breaking anythign on a new car.

Thanks very much.

I have a question about the JBL CD player in my 2003 Celica. It has the text button on the cd player, but I have yet to find or record a CD where the track title is displayed. Anybody know what the deal is? I also tried recording a CD with MP3's and it didn't play at all. Is there a specific file format that has to be used?

i have not seen that player, but most standard players, does not have the ability to display tex directly.

The thing you probably have to du, is to wright in the text your self.... and whenever you put in that cd, the player "remembers" it, and displays the song titles that you have stored.

The player do not play mp3 files, fore that you need a spesified player, not standard in "any" cars

sorry for the bad english <_<
