An Odd Knocking Sound From The Engine Bay

Every once in a while when driving along I hear a little knocking sound from behind me (so I assume the engine bay). I've checked to see if there are any pixies or anything behind my seat/in the bay/in the boot, but alas nothing.

Anyone know what that sound is?

check your drive shaft for movement i just had to replace a bearing.

Is the noise when you are actually driving around or even when just idling? If when driving around, try going along a bumpy road and see if the noise comes on there. And then go along a smooth bit, if no noise, it could be the rear strut top mounts.
