Just Bought A Celica Gti-16 - Need Info Please

Hi,

I just bought a 1987/88 Toyota Celica GTi-16 today (UK car), and was hoping someone could point me to somewhere that could give me some reliable specifications etc on this car.

I've tried topgear.com's used car section, but it doesn't seem to list this exact model.

Does anyone else own one of these and have any info/advise on this car?

I'm not sure if it's actually 1987 or 88 - when I put in the number plate for an insurance quote, it registers as 1987, but I've so far only found one review on the internet for this exact model - and that was a 1988 car... does anyone know what years this car was made?

I really want to know the standard bhp, torque (lb ft.) and 0-60 aceeleration time for the car.

It should be a 3S-GE Engine, with 110kW, 150DIN hp (power figures at 6400rpm)

What are you looking the chassis number up in? online? in a book?

I can't believe the lack of info on the internet about this specific model.. I can find it for other years models, and i can find it for "GT" but not for the "GTi-16" specifically.

I think the gt and the gti-16 are the same thing? AFAIK all uk gen4 celicas had the 3s-ge engine. Click here for the specs.

I now have to wait til tomorrow to pick up the car :( the dealer has to do some more than he thought to it, to pass it's MOT - included in the price for me though luckily :)

Just another question - one thing I never asked him, does this car run on unleaded, or will I need to use LRP?
