2003 Tacoma: Unknown Engine Noise

Hi all... I just recently bought a 2003 Tacoma with 21k miles on it, and have since noticed an odd noise. The noise only seems to become audible after the truck is completely warmed up (after 30 km or so)... it is a rapid "ticking" noise that sounds like metal on metal, which can be heard when the truck hits around 2k RPMs or so, and gets louder (but not faster) with acceleration. I'm wondering a) if anyone else has had this problem, B) if anyone can diagnose this problem, and c) if it is something I should be concerned enough about to bring it into the dealer. Any help would be great! Thanks!!

Hi mate i have'nt got a clue what could be wrong with your vehicle but i think any engine noise should be a good reason to get it to a mechanic if nothing else to make sure its ok.
