De Cat Pipe

I would imagine you might have problems passing an MOT from the emissions point of view if you do not have a functioning CAT.

Mind you, if I am wrong, I am sure the experts will correct me :D

pedro, it all depends on where your cat is on the car, if it's on the down pipe then there's a chance it could fit.

just watch the auction, what ever price it goes for you can just pay me the same as i've my old cat in the garage ;)

i wouldnt be suprised if people are confusing you here pedro!

A decat for your car will give u more power and better MPG however you'l need to stick your cat back on for the MOT!

The ST##2 celica (non turbo) and the ST##5 celicas (turbo) have diffrent cats.

So no this wont fit your car. You can have an exhaust specialist fabricate a decat pipe if you wish which will replace your cat.

If your celica is never than a j reg then you require a cat to pass your MOT.

Hope this clears everything up.

dude, what year is your import?

the link is for a gt4, you have the ST182 3sge engine. you need a st182 3sge down pipe and new gaskets.

you can gut your cat, but you 'may' need to put it back on for the emissions test at the mot.

a down pipe or decat will not make that much of a difference on a st182 but will improve throttle response - will also cost more to run as you will burn more fuel.

benefits could be around 5bhp max.
