Corolla Gti Takes A While To Start Up

Is this normal behaviour for a Corolla GTI? It's the later non T-VIS model. I have to turn it over for say 5 seconds maybe a bit more before it fires... I would've expected it to fire up immediately. It does this when the engine hasn't been used for a day.
