im getting a respray in a few weeks, but I cant make my mind up on what colour I want?

dunno whether to stick with black, and add some kind of effect i.e purple pearl or silver metal flake.

Or go for a complete colour change, dark mettalic purple or gold with a purple flake?...or silver with a purple flake.

I dont know what to do...please help :wacko:

I'm thinking the same thing mate. I'll be having a respray by the end of the year. Just don't know what colour either.

Silver with a purple flake might look nice.

btw, was taking to your ex bird earlier on.

I like the sort of chameleon effect, like the tvr's have, not sure what its called though, infact you're probably talking about it already

I'm a bit sick of flip paint tbh... might go for candy yellow/pearlecent yellow with CF bonnet/wing. Should look ok.

I still wanna see a piccy of a car in candy yellow tho !!

(Byrn .... what colour is your mr2? Standard? Curious if I've seen it going around.)

how random was that!

id go for a metallic black mate, keep it stealth, but have it specially mixed with loads of extra 'metallic' bits than usual gives it a more striking effect if you get me

my old man used to have a fireblade in a similar colour and the flecks were red and purple used to look brilliant and glinted in the sun like a pot o gold

I really like just plain old black, with a really deep shine it looks the dogs, you know what I mean, like the shiny black motors that come out of the hot rod shops in the states, makes them look almost like black glass, kinda, not sure how it would stand on an Mr2 though, might not look as spectactular

Shouldn't that be " taking IT to your ex bird earlier " ?

The nicest colour i've ever seen on a two was a sky blue metallic. Gorgeous it is. Don't know if it would suit your styling though veilside. I've got a pic of it on my pc but dont know how to post them yet.

Its also got some of the nicest alloys ive ever seen on a two as well. No wheel dealers over here new what make they were. :bookworm: :( I think its an american photo.

Your car looks mean! Black suits the body kit you've got at the moment. I'd go for a black with gold fleck (Like my old G6R). It's a Toyota colour (205 I think) and looks really nice.

If you're changing to a different kit then go for a change in colour

Straight black is always good :P . If I was to go for anything else it would be a nice dark blue. Personally I wouldn't go for a metallic, the reason being if you have a bump later on and need any panels respraying it's very difficult to get an exact paint match.

nope, to show off the lines of any car, you need a light colour.

myself, personally, would go for baby blue or yellow.

If you are going to respray it a different colour, then you will have to have the engine/interior etc out, sounds like alot of work to me... If you just need a blow over because of a few scratches etc i'd keep it the same colour...

lol oh dear...im sorry lol.

I`m thinking i`ll keep it black too, as yeah the engine will have to come out if I want a respray otherwise it`ll look gash...maybe add a flake to the black though?

we`ll see :)

thanks for ur input guys

click me

They can do any finish you want, be it flip, pearl, metal flake, etc. for well cheaper then you will find anywhere else. 1 TOC member has already just used them and had no complaints and of course I recommend them anywhere I go.

The work is top quality and only 2 guys will work on your car. Offering a personal service, they go through everything with you prior to final decision.

Even including your travelling if you sort out a lift with a friend, it will still be cheaper.

If you wanted a complete change of colour then the engine bay can be done at an extra cost. However they are just about fully booked up leading upto donny show as I have already filled their books with recommending them lol!
