Cross Drilled Brake Rotors

Hi,

Knowledgeable Celica people I need your help. My car is not exactly a Toyota. It does however share the front brake rotors and calipers from the 8/81 to 8/85 model year Celica and the 8/81-12/85 Supra.

I would like a good source for a set of cross drilled rotors.

I looked at the Brembo site but it does not list Toyota cars that old.

The car that has the Celica brakes is a 1990 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE. The brakes are fine for around town but during rapid deceleration from 150mph+ slowing down for turns at the end of the straight the brakes fade after a few times around the track.

I thought about upgrading the whole brake system but that would require me to switch my front OZ wheels to a larger size altering the handling of the car not to mention I am fond of my wheels. So I want to try just upgrading the rotor at this time.

TIA,

Calvin

You could also try upgrading your brake fluid to a synthetic as used in race/rally cars as this has a higher boiling point and doesnt absorb water like the mineral fluids, this may be a cheaper alternative to the brake upgrade for now hope this helps
