Scion&echo Vs. Yaris Ts

Do they have the same engine?

also... I'm starting to collect tuning bits for my Yaris for an overhaul this summer...

I've already bought headers, alloys and a backbox...

next on my list are springs and a high-flow cat...

what brand of springs should I buy? I was leaning towards vogtland...

are there specific springs for a T-Sport or are they the same for all the Yaris line?

what was that about lowering a t-sport - do 35mm springs lower the car by only 5mm because it's already lower than normal or what?

also... will I feel any difference if I fit a lightweight crank pulley? - it's more than 4lbs lighter than the stock pulley...

I cant answer all of your questions but i can answer some.

First of all the Scion xA and 1.5 Echo uses the same engine as the T-Sport the 1NZ-FE.

As for lowering a T-Sport, it is already 20mm lower than normal Yarii due to the chassis being 20mm lower. So if u get 30mm lowering springs for it .. you will lower it another 30mm. Not 5mm or anything!

Hope this helps!

As for springs, Eibach and TTE are quite popular. They both lower 35mm all the way around. Should be getting myself a set this month  B)

Thought TTE were 30mm?

And TEINs are the balanced ones with 35mm and 38mm drop.

Thinking TTE would be a good start, casue when you come to sell the car you wont need to take them off becuase they are official parts (kinda)

:hokus-pokus:

The TTE/Eibach springs both lower by 30mms.

They are completely the same except for the name printed on them...

I'm currently using the Eibachs on my YTS with the stock shocks.

Pretty good, but I would recommend purchasing a set of adjustable shocks to pair them up with.

i.e: Koni yellows or KYB AGX's...

About that crank pulley...

Get one! Even if you can't feel a difference (which I doubt) it is still a cheap mod...

The guys over at Scionlife seem to like it though...

I like my Teins - I asked around a fair bit before I got them and it seemed to come down to either Tein or Eibach .. similar price and similar reputation ...
