Have You Heard Of Such A Thing?

New to this forum, so sorry if i sound thick, but you have to HEAR it to beleive it! I got a great Avensis, D4D, GLS, 4dr, 2002.

Picture the scenario? You get into your car on a cold morning to go to work. You start the engine everything is fine, until you rev the engine to move off........ The radio is off and the fan is off too. Get the picture? Normal everyday life during a typical wintery English morning.

So what happens?....Hear goes..... Everytime I rev the engine to move off, I hear a watery bubbling noise coming from just behind the dash. It does not happen when idle @ 1000rpm.

Is this weird or what? Dealers charge £60+ ph, not including parts. Is it the Heater Matrix? Are my footwells about to be under a foot of rusty water? Can I do it myself? How urgent is it? Has anyone ever heard or experienced this?

Any advice would be welcome. Oh. yes, just out of warranty. :ffs: Dealer wants another £600 approx for 12 months. Are heater Matrix covered by warranties?
