Avensis Heater

My avenis heater takes about 20 minutes to come on then it is fine.

Any suggestions as to the problem

You have a diesel! Take ages to warm up!

Thank you for your reply but this is a recent problem - the car is 4 year old and has no power heater -

The engine is fully up to operating temperature on the gauge and still no heat into the car- seems like some kind of thermostat into the heater matrix - however I do not want to start rippping things off until I know what i might be looking for

Hi There

Sounds very much like the thermostat has given up the ghost. If the car is 4 years old coolant is also probably knackered, so why not use the oppurtunity to flush the system, put in a new thermostat (not expensive), inspect all the hoses and Rad :bookworm: , and fill up with fresh coolant. Not a difficult job, and better in the comfort of your own garage than the side of the M4 (DONT ASK !!!!)
