When i leave my interior light in the door position it stays lit all the time, has anyone had this trouble?, or can anyone steer me in the right direction. Before this fault it did have a tendency to blow bulbs quite often. Any help would be apreciated.

If you car has alarm, it might be a problem with one of the switches installed with alarm. Long time ago I've had VW Golf 1.6 with the same problem and dealer found the opening switcher problem on the engine hood, replaced it and solved the problem.

If not, put it to position "Door", let it stay on, open one door and try on the coloumn to push the switch in to see if light goes off. You have to do it with engine running so the delay timer wouldn't keep the light on. Do it door by door. While doing one door keep the others closed. That way you will find if one door switch is broken. If non of this helps, it might be the delay timer. I don't see what else could be

Had that on mine for a week! Turned out the boot lid wasn't shut properly. Check all the switches by pushing them...

Thanks for the replies, it turned out to be a faulty switch on the drivers door. Fitted a new one, and so far, no problems
