I need help! I don't know how to get the dash trim out. I have the bottom out, but stuck on how to get the heating area out. Please help asap. I have a 2000 Celica GT-S.

1 - Remove gear lever surround by pulling it up from the window switch end and sliding out of main centre console, unplug the ciggy lighter connector and remove the leather gaitor to remove completely.

2 - Undo the two screws now revealed at the bottom of the centre console.

3 - only applies to manual air con - Remove the control knobs by pulling them, including the slidy knob, there will now be two screws revealed, remove these.

4 - Pull the console away from the bottom, do this reasonably gently, you can now release the clips a little further up again with reasonable force. Be careful here though as there is a clip at the top of the clock area which will snap if you bend the unit upwards, best way is to pull the entire unit towards you

5 - Job done.
