hi guys and girls,

a friend is very seriously thinking about buying a 1991 import (pop-up lights :) ). non-turbo, i think its the r-z or z-r? something like that.

well neways its 2k and has 90k miles, its gunmetal grey and appears standard apart from some 15 inch alloys.

Is this a fair price and is their any common faults or problems with these cars?

thanks,

Trev :D

Price seems ok. It`s always worth haggling if you can tho. No real problems with the gen 5 apart from normal wear and tear. If the car has a service history it`s going to be pretty well ok. Check all the usual bits and bobs for W&T. Cambelt should be replaced every 60K or 5 years so you might want to check that although it`s a non interference engine(3S-GE) Still inconvenient if it goes tho.:thumbsup:

Worth trying to haggle for £1500 I would say at the least.

My 1991 GT is for sale and I wouldn't expect to get even that much for it so plead poverty and see what happens.......
