I am probably a bit slow on the uptake on these...

But just spotted some centre panels for Rev1/2's (replaces the black honeycombe one).

What's quite ironic is the seller is in my town. May have to pay a visit to authenticate quality for those interested :)

Is it fiberglass or metal?

fibreglass, its not a replacement panel for the mesh its a cover that slides over it. mine arrived with one of the lips that hold it smashed so its gonna have to be fixed before i can fit it.

Posted

Will the guy not replace it for you?

its going into body shop end of april anyway so it'll be gettin treated along with the rest of the car.

it was packed well but it must have been dropped on its end

Doh!

I was thinking of getting one and modding it to fit with my rev 3 lights

but i think i'll just wait and get one from rogue in a few weeks.

Been spending too much on the car recently but i wont be happy

till my plan is complete ;)

i cant see any way of gettin one of these to fit rev 3 lights. be a lot cheaper and easier with the right panel.

are u sure u wanna sell your 2 in the summer?

Posted

Its not that i want to mate, need to...Baby on the way.

But i'll have fun with it for now and make a nice little profit when i do sell it.

I was just going to cut the ends to suit the lights but i'll just get the

rogue one as its only £50.

still don't know what you all dont like about the rev2 standard honeycomb.

looks great imo (admittedly rev1 not as nice).

Posted

didnt know there was a difference between the rev 1 and 2 honeycomb?

Posted

Me neither....

Posted

aye there is.

rev1 has a single column running horizontally along the middle about a cm or so, and a rev2 has like a double one (recessed inside 2 outer borders - with keyhole in) and is slightly thicker 3 cm or so

edit: also if i recall, the rev1 column is not dead centre, but a bit more towards the top?, rev2 is dead centre.
