Stupid Boost Controller

TB Developments Manual Boost Controller had this for a few months now , on the first fitting the ball bearing wasnt seated properly and it wouldnt boost increase what ever i set it too... then i seated it properly it was working again. After that my turbo broke at 1bar so i got a new turbo, yet the boost guage pointer was shaky and wouldnt go over 0.7 so i had a look at the controller. Again ball bearing problems it was stuck, tried to fit it back in and found bits of copper particles from the controller inside sorted that out and the ball bearing was seated properly.

Put the controller back in at its lowest setting, boosted slowly on the motorway

to test and it went upto 1.3bar :censor: , so brought it back home will have

another look at it again later.

haha its old but it seems to me its the parts attached to the engine causing the problems

ill go have a look at the controller now , atleast the boost is working but by god

1.3Bar that needs tweaking down i never hit that with the old turbo

Spoken to TB , he recommends cutting the spring and then trying

if it doesnt work send it back to him

Ok did the spring trick SO FAR SO GOOD, how many times have i said that

Its running between 0.9 and 1bar in the different gears and the boost guage pointer doesnt shake anymore YAY thought it wasnt a leak :P

Ill slowly increase it through the weeks, to just over 1bar and leave it like that for good

but i will be looking at an electronic boost controller at some point!
