didnt you think to buy some new tyres for the winter with grip on??

Rear wheel drive car + bald tyres...you must have expected to crash. It was waiting to happen.

lucky yuo didnt hit another car or person. Are you claiming on insurance?

wow mate - you really should have noticed that a long time before they got that bald!

I check my tyre pressure regularly - and always on full lock, so I can see both sides of the tyres.

I did know they were getting low..... just kinda forgot how low

for a while......

at the end of the day, I learn my lesson about tire tread the hard way. I'll be replacing my tyres well before they get into that state in the future.

Nobody needs to say I'm a numpty.... I already know.... lol. :)

As s.surfa said... just an excuse to play with me motor. ;)

PS : it's not winter and I'm not paying on insurance.... coming out of me own pocket. Lesson learnt the hard way.

Well, ok they should never get that low, but don't take all the blame mate. You go to any tyre shop and look at the tyres they take off. See how many of them are worn excessively/badly worn/partially down to the braiding. Your just one in a million others, but you had the misfortune to have an accident. At the end of the day, tyres are expensive and whilst it's not right, people want to get the most out of each tyre and wait until they are illegal to use before changing...well, most people do that anyhow. (before I start an arguement)

I do that all the time, tyres are the one thing I really hate more than any other to spend money on.....daft really, cos good new ones will keep you on the road...apparently :P

It doesnt help having 5 cars to have to buy tyres for :ffs:
