sup, friend of myne noticed last nite that my rear seats on the 60/40 top half isn't clicking in place...the 40 side is clicking into place..functioning properly...but the 60 side is totally fubar..its moving all over the show. i stripped the rear seat down to see what was causing it not to lock into place as it should, couldnt figure out what was causing it not to lock...any ideas guys?

Slide the rear seats all the way forward.. [Lift the handle underneath the seats, that one]

And then try

bottom of the rear seat clicks fine, just the left rear top section (larger part of the bench doesn't want to click, it has way too much play in it.

k, ive got a whole nu rear locking seat mechanism on its way, and to clarify the problem - as you know the yaris has flat packed seats - the seats can be folded yes, both sides will fold, but one section will not lock in place, it will move around, the locking mechanism where the belts are situated will not lock this part of the seat into place. ive stripped the entire rear seat out and concluded the mechnism is pretty much buggerd.

my only suggestion is that is anything getting in its way?

has anything fell down into the mechanism?

or has a clip of sum sort come dislodged or something along those lines?
