Rav4 Sat Nav + Chrome Kit

Recommended Posts

New to this forum, and just going to be collecting my wifes's auto XT4 tomorrow 54 plate with 21 miles so pretty new.

Just wanted some advise on a few things as the dealer wanted too much for these items.

SAT NAV - I am aware that eBay seems to be a common location, is there anywhere else I can get a a new 2005 Toyota Sat Nav from??

alloys - I am after the Granite 17" alloys, where can I get these from?

CHROME KIT - again std Toyota kit, dealer wants £820 + fitting(OMG)

Thanks

Dave :help:

Hi mate

Just a note to take into consideration, if you fitted a built in Sat nav system into your new car would it effect the warrenty?

And the same with the wheels and Chrome kit?

But you could get a removeable Sat nav system and their cheaper in mine i have a Tom Tom Go which is portable and cost about £400.

The wheels you should be able to get all most anywhere i would have thought

And i havent got a clue about the chrome kit.

Interesting regarding the warranty, though if its a standard Toyota sat nav I'd have thought it would be ok. Will definately check this though.

The problem with aftermarket ie tom tom is that we would have to remove/carry it around, and the Pioneer/Alpine well I don't think they are removeable and would get nicked straight away.

I am hoping the standard toyota one will not attract that much attention.

Ps - what kind of tubby you got, I just sold my rev3 GTS to get the RAV4 for the wife as she is expecting very soon. :crybaby:

Why would there by any warranty issues, If they are Toyota parts there should be no warranty issues after all they Toyota accessories and parts are covered by Toyota's own warranty. The only issue would be to inform your Insurer that you fitted these parts so that in event of claim they are covered.

Its always worth asking about the condissions of warrentys but all the best in finding the bits you want

Its a Rev 1 GT but seriously modded for power.
