As some of you know I've got a sera that has been written off. The insurance guy has offered a very low price which I'm not going to accept.

He said an automatic sera is worth more than a manual sera.

However I am lead to believe that the manual toyota seras are very rare and more sought after, therefore would have thought the manual would be worth more.

Am I write in thinking this?

Thanks,

Tonnie

The automatic version is more common than the manual, and in the UK the manual version usually commands a premium.

Market value - to go out and buy a Sera in good condition (I've not seen yours remember), I would normally advise people to spend over £ 2,500, generally the more you spend, the better a car you get.

What have they offered you?

If you want, I'll right a letter to you. Email me details etc.,

Her car is a 1992 J reg, green/yellow colour, had 10 months MOT, 58750 miles, you know all the usual stuff it has, 5 speed manual, FSH, came out of the body shop 2 weeks ago with the front resprayed due to stone chips. Had the clutch replaced and the front and rear brakes overhauled a couple of months ago, also has a full stainless steel exhaust (standard bore size), The car was rolling roaded 6 months ago and produced 109BHP and 115 lb/ft torque (which are standard figuers). It really was a mint wee car.

They offered me 2400

I have sent you an email Andrew
