Lack Of Power?

Hi

I recently replaced the dizzy cap and leads on my rolla as it suffered from serious lag. Initially it mad a huge difference. Now,when I push on the accelerator the revs go up fairly quick..so does the nice racy sound from the Mongoose system, but I just don't seem to go as quick as the car sounds. It does pick up loads of speed though when getting towards 4000rpm. I had the plugs replaced last October. Also, I still notice a slight misfire on idle.

Could it have anything to do with the air intake or should I check the plugs? <_<

If the engine is racing away but the car isint going as fast, then it sounds like the clutch slipping!

Yeah, have the clutch checked. My Celica was revving but not moving as fast recently. New clutch and sweeeeeeeet.

Well,it was the clutch indeed! Got a frantic call at work from my wife today saying the rolla aint going nowhere when she pushes the accelerator  . In the end we had it towed to a local garage by the AA. New clutch fitted tomorrow  :D .

Cheers
