Choosing The Right Celica

Hay guys,

I am a new member based in Ireland I am about to buy a celica imported from JAPAN, Please see spec @http://www.cbg.ie/Car_detail.asp?CBGID=273183&ID=16443536&frmFilter=

The dealer has it advertised as a ST 180 but I dont think it is? can anybody fill me in on the full story

Post this in the Celica section matey and let the "boys" take a look . A lot of them do know a lot about these!!. The problem is I dont lol !!! :P

my father had one for a year from new,no problems with his - problems i have heard of from lets say car owners of a 3yr old model have been , rattles from dash - tailgate hydraulic rods failing,vvti lift bolts shearing.alloy wheel peeling.water in boot.

Take a good look at this spec sheet below, the photo you have shown is a generation 7, import celica, in Japan they go by the name of SS-I(is like the UK 140) or SS-II( like the UK 190 ), you need to look at the model on the spec sheet,then have a look on the chassis plate of the celicayour buying, to match up the model. other wise you could be buying a lower spec car than you thought.
