Weight Reduction On The Gt4?

is there anyway that any excess weight can be removed from the gt4 st185 cos it seems to be this would be a really easy way of improving performance without spending loads on extra mods...my mate was saying that he read somewhere there was a cast iron plate or box on a gt4 which could be removed...is he taking the mikey out of me, is it true or is is just on the 165 model?

Starting point is the sound proofing under the bonnet.

Then some lighter alloys so you have less unsprung weight.

You can practicaly strip them right down. Rear seating and dash etc, even the sunroof.
